Camp Lowden Improvement Days

Head out to camp to help with projects/improvements and enjoy the beautiful outdoors!

Friends and families of Camp Lowden are invited to help with Camp Lowden improvement work days. Projects range from seasonal improvements, i.e., brush clearing, winterization, etc., to improvement projects such as trail clearing, painting, etc. Please pack your own food, wear appropriate clothing, and bring your water bottle. Contact Bob Gingras if you plan to attend for a head count.

Here are some of the projects we need your help with:

  • Painting the Explorer campsite latrine
  • Finish painting the Cowboy Action Center
  • Replace RR ties between the dining hall and shower house
  • Trim low branches in the core area of camp
  • Trim low branches over some of the buildings
  • Bucking up downed trees
  • Hauling bucked up wood to the firewood shed
  • Log splitting

Who: Friends and families of Camp Lowden

When:  August 10th (OA Fall Conclave) and October 12th

Be prepared and plan on bringing the following items: your lunch, water bottle, gloves, eye protection and possibly hearing protection and of course, dress accordingly.
