Tools to Help Onboard New Den Leaders There are two resources available to get those who just agreed to be a den leader off to a great start. The first is a video that walks den leaders through how to get started using the tools available to them. The second is a digital brochure titled “Welcome New Den Leader.” These brochures are specific to a Cub Scout rank and give new Den Leaders step-by-step instructions on how to get started.

New Cub Scout Program 2024-2025 Starting June 1, 2024, the Cub Scout experience is getting a new look. The National Cub Scouting Committee identified areas to make the program even more fun, simple, and easy – without touching the core values and aims of Scouting. These updates are all about program enhancements and not policy changes. It’s a fresh take on delivering the Cub Scout magic, ensuring that our young adventurers have the best experience possible. Blackhawk Area Council will host a series of training opportunities for unit leaderships, starting with a breakout session at April’s District Roundtables, followed by Zoom webinars.
