Contributing to the Boy Scouts of America creates opportunities for youth to gain memorable experiences and become instilled with values, principles, and skills that will help them develop into the future leaders of our nation. Boy Scouts of America is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Your donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
By contributing to Scouting, you will have a profound impact on America. More youth will experience the program that will further instill values and character in their moral fiber. Your gift truly will have a direct impact on our world. Imagine if all of our leaders today lived their lives according to the Scout Oath and Law.
Additional Ways to Support Scouting
Matching Gifts
Workplace Giving/Matching Gifts Many corporations match gifts made by their employees to the Boy Scouts of America. Some companies even give financial contributions on behalf of the time you give as a volunteer.
Check with your Human Resources, Financial Department, or Employee Services Department, for your company’s matching gifts program details. You can also contact our accountant Stacey Dunphy at 815-397-0210 or Stacey.Dunphy@scouting.org.
Investment in Character The merit badge program was created by the Boy Scouts of America to spark
the interest and imagination of a young person in a particular area.
Some merit badges are likely to develop interest in a hobby, some help spark curiosity about a potential career path, and some are focused on the developing Scout and helping them grow into the best version of themselves.
When you choose to sponsor a merit badge, your organization has the opportunity to give so much more than dollars to the Scouting program.
There’s a good chance you are passionate about the skills fostered by the merit badge, and you have a genuine interest in sharing your passion with the young people working on the merit badge.
