– Medical Form Part C reminder: As always, be sure your families are aware of the need for a medical doctor’s signature on Part C of the Annual Health and Medical Record. Please do remind your Scout families (youth and adults) to get their medical physical appointments scheduled, as they will be required to turn in during Sunday check-in at camp.
– Final and total payments for the 2026 Summer Camp season are due on May 15th, 2026. Scouts paid-in-full prior to May 15th get locked into the “Early Rate” of $425, while Scouts paid-in-full after May 15th will be charged the “Regular Rate” of $475. A minimum payment of $50/Scout is required on May 15 and your troop’s total estimated registration should be adjusted to reflect this. For questions about payments and Doubleknot registration, please reach out to Blackhawk Area Council Program Director Tessa Serrano (tessa.serrano@scouting.org). If a new Scout shares an interest in coming to Camp, we will always do what we can to get them in, even if it’s after some of these key deadlines — our goal is to get as many kids to enjoy summer camp at Canyon Camp as possible!
As your Troops prepare for their week at Canyon Camp this summer, you likely will have many questions that pop-up along the way. If the Unit Leader Guide or the various Resources on the Canyon Camp website do not provide a helpful answer, I encourage you to reach out to us at canyoncamp@blackhawkscouting.org for any further questions that you have. It’s a pleasure to help out and be of service so that your Scouts have a great time at camp this summer!
