Have you nominated a Scouter for the Silver Beaver Award?!
It is the highest Award a local Council can bestow on one of its Adult Volunteers. Upon nomination by the Council and with the approval of the National Court of Honor, recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council. First introduced in 1931, the Silver Beaver is an award given to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service. It is given to those who do not seek it.
Anyone may nominate any deserving registered Scouter in the council, which selects recipients for the following year. Each council may process their own annual allotment of Silver Beaver awards and shall send a list of Silver Beaver recipients presented each calendar year to the National Court of Honor no later than January 31 of the following year.
